Killers of the Flower Moon makes history with a release strategy that marks an industry first. The latest from the legendary director Martin Scorsese, the upcoming film chronicles the series of Osage murders in Oklahoma during the 1920s with an all-star cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, and Brendan Fraser. Killers of the Flower Moon was originally planned for a limited theatrical release on October 6 before expanding on October 20.
Now, as revealed by Variety, the Killers of the Flower Moon release date strategy has been changed. Scorsese's film has scrapped its earlier limited release on October 6, and will release worldwide on October 20. This will still be followed by a later streaming release on Apple TV+ on an undetermined date.
