Chris Hemsworth & Pedro Pascal's New Movie Sparks $100 Million Bidding War Between Studios

A movie starring Chris Hemsworth and Pedro Pascal sparks a bidding war between multiple studios, which could see one of them pay $100 million.


Netflix and Amazon are engaged in a bidding war for the film project Crime 101, set to star Chris Hemsworth and Pedro Pascal. Written by author Don Winslow, the novella follows a detective searching for a jewel thief near the Pacific Coast Highway. The short thriller features two major characters in its story.


Now, Deadline reports Netflix and Amazon may be willing to spend up to $100 million to get the rights to Crime 101, which both studios are currently bidding for. While no deals are in place yet, it Amazon in reported to be in the lead for bidding. There are also no official deals for Hemsworth and Pascal to star in the film, but they had expressed interest prior to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA actors strike.
