Night of the Demons 4K Release Announced, Parts 2 & 3 Get New Blu-rays

Scream Factory has announced a 4K Ultra HD release for Night of the Demons along with new Blu-rays for its two sequels.

Angela's inviting horror fans to her biggest party yet with the original Night of the Demons movie getting the 4K treatment, joined by new Blu-ray releases for its two sequels.

Per Scream Factory, it's been revealed that Night of the Demons will be released on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray on Oct. 3, 2023, courtesy of Scream Factory. Also announced were new Blu-ray releases for Night of the Demons 2 and Night of the Demons 3. These mark all three films of the original trilogy before the franchise was rebooted with a remake in 2009. Franchise star Amelia Kinkade appears in all three films in her starring role as Angela.

The 4K Ultra HD release of Night of the Demons is the first time the movie will be available to view in the format, looking better than ever. The set includes a 2023 restoration from an earlier 4K scan of the unrated negative. Several bonus features will also be included, including "special content" and new interviews with writer/producer Joe Augustyn, star Jill Terashita, and special effects artist Nick Benson.

The Night of the Demons 2 Collector's Edition Blu-ray includes a 2023 film transfer along with a new audio commentary, interviews, and other bonus features, such as alternate R-rated scenes, a making-of documentary, and a short film version of the concept. Night of the Demons 3 on Blu-ray will include special bonus content as well, such as new interviews with directors Kevin S. Tenney and Brian Trenchard-Smith, as well as producer Jeff Geoffray, special effects artist Steve Johnson, and stars Ameila Kinkade and Christi Harris. There's also a new audio commentary with Harris, Jennifer Rose, Darin Heames, and Johnny Moran.

Night of the Demons Gets the 4K Treatment

Night of the Demons tells the story of a group of partying teens accidentally summoning an evil entity on Halloween night. When the host of the party, Angela (Kinkade), joins other partygoers in turning into a demon, the survivors desperately search for a way out with the hope of surviving the night. Angela returns in Night of the Demons 2 when a new group of teens plan a party in the same creepy location, Hull House, while another group of rambunctious teens wind up there in Night of the Demons 3.
